When this was dreamt up, it was dreamt up for me. I mean, it had to be right? Cyberpunk and Whisky? Bound to be a winner.
One of my favourite books (Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? - Philip K Dick) became Bladerunner and Harrison Ford therefore became Rick Deckard. The films full of the crazy and beautiful examples of dystopian retro futuristic design, spaceships that act like cars, lasers, far too much make-up and abandoned warehouses. Mostly junk and naff stuff the set designers dredged from god knows where no doubt, but nestled neatly in there was a stroke of beauty. The Italian made Cibi double whisky glass was designed in 1973 by Cini Boeri and damn is it an object of desire or what? 40 years on and thanks to the film, this is still one of the most iconic glasses of all time and if it wasn't for the hefty price tag. I'd be sipping Jack Daniels Honey from it full of ice at this very moment.
Christmas and Birthday presents welcome? Anyone? No?
